Or maybe they just loosened up the ranks for the beta, that's what they did for cod4 i think. I was well looking forward to having to work at my rank, not getting a high rank and it not meaning anything. That's what happened with cod4 and bf2142, the only console game i've ever had to work at was rainbow six vegas. Lol.

Are there classes?
Is the game type conquest?
When you go prone (assuming you can), do you get insta-straight accuracy like BF2?
When you jump, can you fire?
Assuming you can go prone, can you go prone mid-jump?

Yes their are classes.(Assault, Demolitions, Recon, Spec-Ops, and Support.)
No conquest in the beta. Just Gold Rush I believe is what its called.(Wikipedia FTW!)

I think the best assault rifle in the game is the M16A3. I just don't get why I have to put so many rounds into someone before they go down.

edit: also, keep in mind this is a console game. i have a feeling that "bf3" will be nearly exactly like bf2, but with a fully destructible environment. dont judge bf3 on bad company. same engine, entirely different game. i hope.

No. There are no stats.

Also, there are a small amount of weapons in the Beta compared to the full game. Or so EA says.....
