kk, nway it piss me off that kovy is probably going to leave montreal! This guy is a really good hockey player. But in montreal with all the media, fans, coaches that changes line up at each game it's not easy... I just hope we'll get a good player if we trade him... Nway if gainey does the trade, it will probably be a big trade with few players involved...

Is stopping the Lighthouse (our much, MUCH needed renovation project for the Coliseum) from being approved.

There's gonna be a "white out", or so they call it. They're asking everyone to wear either a white shirt or the Islanders white away jersey. Some, including myself, are even making signs. I was contemplating "Vote the fat bitch out of office", but I don't think security would allow it.

Nah. I thought so at first, but it just won't happen. Too much history behind this team for the NHL to scrap it.

Thrashers are more likely to take the arena in KC. They don't have much of a history and haven't been in Atlanta for very long anyway. They're actually in a worse state than we are.

For the exchange of Kovy, if it happens, my little finger is telling me that it could be with Dallas.
They lost Brad Richards and Morrow is not playing either. Gainey is a good friend of the GM over there.
I don't think they would exchange him in the east, 'cause this guy is able to hurt you if you go to playoffs against him.
Kovalev had talk bad against Juilen, Gainey got rid of him and look what he's doing with the Bruins. Now he must have said the same thing against Carbo but Gainey told him, "Hola mon ti pet" Carbo is the new sheriff in town so deal with him. He was put away by Gainey and the team played a better game just to show Kovy that they don't need him. A kind of non-confidence vote. His time with the Canadiens is finished for this guy bigger than the team.

The way Kovalev has been playing lately, I really don't think Montreal will get much for him. And no, I'm not saying that as a Bruins fan. He's been playing so bad. He basically has no desire to play at this point and teams don't want that. Yes, he is a very skilled guy, but until he plays like he wants to win, he's not much worth, especially as a trade for a playoff push...

If those teams don't win, they should all be a shamed of themselves. But, with the exception of the Penguins. The Habs didn't play too bad last game, maybe benching Kovalev was the wake up call they needed. That and the Penguins suck too so that game's basically a toss up.

Or if the goalies sucked like when Gretzky played. I'm sick of Gretzky's records because he played in an era where 10 goals per game was average. But, I honestly think if you give Ovechkin a couple more years, he'll be the one to break the goal records.

Goalies sucked? What planet do you live on? Billy Smith, Gerry Cheevers? Patrick Roy!?! The ONLY reason why goals aren't being scored as much is because of the huge pads. And it's been a major issue in the NHL for the past 6-7 years now.

He didn't suddenly start getting better when he hit 34. He got bigger pads.

You seriously think he's going to break 75 goals? Most players today are lucky to break 50 ffs.
