Right, I love live music, but am in need of some great live albums.

One of my favs is Foo Fighters' live in Hyde Park gig, absolutely great atmosphere there, I would've payed a lot of money to be there.

So, the purpose of this thread is a request to find some great Live albums, all suggestions are welcome, as long as they're sensible.

Try some live Pearl Jam.  Since 2003, they've been releasing soundboard quality recording of live shows and they kickass!

You can thank me later.

Download some ummm sorry, buy some Glastonbury stuff.

Guns and Roses live albums.

Oasis Live

Search for any charity gig stuff (Live aid, Live 8, Freddie Mercury, etc), without sounding patronising I doubt you were born when some of these events were held, if you are serious about live music get some footage/mp3's from the events.  If I am wrong and you were already born you would of already heard the music I'm on about.  You may not have a taste in some of the music if not most but as asked it is a sensible reply.

Live music is better imo, but only when there is a good atmosphere, makes your hair stand up on the back of your neck.

Rammstein's "Live aus Berlin" or the live CD from Nimes included with "Völkerball".

Yeah
I like live music at concerts because the atmosphere is amazing and the bass hitting your chest rocks.
but live music on cd is both imperfect and unsensational.

Try any volume of "you can't do this on stage anymore" by Frank Zappa, or tinseltown rebellion by him as well, t'is mostly live recordings, t'is mostly briliant.

Any live muse is very good, as well as any live radiohead, especially their performance at Glastonbury ('03?) if you can find it.... not a realeased album though.

edit: also "live at fingerprints" by the hold steady (which came free with my copy of boys and girls in america, fantastic album) is well worth a listen.

edit2: Sigur ross was hosted on the bbc site for the electric proms, dunno if it still is.

Faithless - We come 1 (Live Glastonbury)

IMO a good example of live music, dance music recreated using real instruments.
