  • I have a problem... Need Help! (Realtek sound not working)

Im at my gf house and her sound is not working... In the control panel sound thing it say that no software is installed.... and in the Realtek audio setup it says that theirs no audio devices plugged in the system. But the speakers are plugged.


I really have no idea how i can slove this problem.


Any idea?

Sounds like you need to find and install the drivers.  Should be on the CD that came with the motherboard but I'm assuming you don't have that.  So you'll have to go online and look up RealTek audio drivers download and install them.

As to how you know which ones are the right ones... educated guesses and good luck.

go here (http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/dow … Down=false)

and download the file for whatever os u have and u can pick .exe or .zip file and that SHOULD solve your problem

if not just google- (the part) drivers
                       ex.amd 5400+ drivers

If that doesn't work, go into the bios and make sure the onboard audio is enabled.

Having speaker plugged in makes about as much difference at this stage as stuffing a paper clip into each hole.
