It is a bit of a gimmick - everything it says it does it does well. But for the price of a 16GB Touch, you can almost buy a cheap laptop or an eeePC - making them a bit of a niche.
16GB is also not much storage - ie most people would need the capacity of an iPod Video (unless they have small music libraries/no videos).
Isn't an iPod touch the same as an iPhone but without the phone capabilities?

If you want touch screen: get an iPhone, so you get the other half they ripped off to make the ipod touch (even importing a cracked one is worth it, all the people where i work love em)

I'm on it right now actually. Its the fucking cats balls. I love it and im prolly never gonna put it down...now if only the whole world was wireless. Also the storage really isn't a problem...I just put my top 1500 songs on here, I have the 8gb one. I wasn't expecting this for Xmas so it was awesome

I am sorry, but that just beats it. Hands down. Plus, all the Touch fanboys now can't say "My MP3 has wireless" Because the next add-on ( mid january ) for the YP-P2 is Wi-Fi. Also, its like £70 cheaper.
