Agreed, yet I still always use it over the revolver. My spy playing has changed so much with the update anyways. I mostly use Dead Ringer and then spam the ambassador when reloading the cloak meter. Hardly what the spy class is meant to be

As insane as it is (perhaps even more hardcore than Valve even anticipated in their design), I quite like the fact that there's something 'exclusive' and difficult to attain in Team Fortress 2. Nowadays in almost every facet of online PC gaming, shit is just TOO EASY to get. MMO's have become simplified into linear infinity, FPS games have become point+click adventure games (for instance, the recoil and skill-curve difference between CoD1->CoD2->CoD4/5), and almost every other form of game has somehow become 'moronified' for today's generation of rabidly-foaming console kiddies. Now, not to imply that the hats require any form of actual 'skill' to attain, but just the fact that they're 'rare' by concept makes it applaudable, imo. 9000 hours to get all of them, on average, that's hardcore. And the 'hardcore' element is something that is very much missing from modern PC gaming.

Now, the majority of people may cry and whine about their infrequent 'drop-rate', but at least the hats are a non-affecting part of the game. It's just a fun aesthetic gimmick with no great purpose. Their rareness is almost entirely their one and only point; they're a graphical certificate of 'frequent player', 'old school', 'many hours played' etc.etc.

I agree with you. I like the idea of super rare cosmetic items. Everyone having everything, while fair, isn't as... fun? 9000 hours to get all 9 may be pushing it slightly though. And that 96% of no hats figure suprised me. I knew they were rare but not that rare. I mean. Wow.

I really like the colour scheme of this idea for a loadout screen. It's far nicer to look at . The lack of space for all the items on the left would be a bit awkward though. But something like this would be cool. From Here
