Because both my mother, brother, an tenant, and my brother in law all claim they hear noises (huge banging sounds in the middle of night while I, my father don't hear it), see black spots/flashes moving on the corner of their eyes, creaking noises, the tenant even claimed she saw an old white man in her "dreams" (apparantly the maker of our house was an italian man). And to make this story more eerie; its a fact that someone did die in my house. i am not trying to "scare" you all because i dont' believe that shit; don't get me wrong i too have seen "black flashes" on the corner of my eye. but unlike my family i try to use logic and reasoning to explain all the things they think is the "supernatural"
i have bad eyesight (10 degrees; i am actually legally blind) seeing black spots just be normal plus i stay late at night playing bf2 for 8 hours (f@#$ ya your going to see black spots)
my house is old yes its going to creak
loud bangs? thunder? contruction is also evident in my neighbourhood.
old man in dreams? coincidence plus the tenant was having family troubles with her son and husband

I know that after I or my family go out for a day or for a meal we can sometimes came back and the clocks wold have moved yet noone is in the house.
My dead grandfather from what I was told whilst he was living he had a habit of moving clocks. I know it wasn't the wind because we close all the windows and doors before going so there cant be any drafts.
And also when the windows and doors have being closed and my family or friends have being over if you go to a certain spot you can smell cigarette smoke yet no-one is stood next to the door smoking or anyone in the house.
The strangest thing is when we you to live at my old house this happend but despite moving these things still happen which I find quite strange.

I agree with Schwarzelungen. Ouji boards may give some information, but they will, in most cases, make the situation worse, since they establish "a connection" with the assumed spirit world, and they can and will let more spirits/bad stuff get into your house. This morning some wierd shit happened to me. It was like 6:00 am and I was sleeping when I woke up to the sound of my door opening abruptly, it was really quiet at the time and you could hear even the most subtle sounds, but I didnt see anyone or hear any footsteps walking away from the door when it happened. I ignored it then went back to sleep, a little while later I had this strange sensation like someone was blowing in my ear hard, I woke up looked over and saw nothing I looked on the floor, under my bed in my closet to see if someone was in my room because I didnt see anyone running out of the room, at this point I was like wtf and ended up not going back to sleep. Then the last thing happened, I saw my bathroom light turn on randomly then turn off but I didnt hear any footsteps or see anyone walking into the bathroom, now this was all during a thunderstorm so I dont know if the lightning had anything to do with that. But the fact that all those things happened within the same period of time seems kinda strange.

It my old house I had stuff like that happen, one time the old kitchen fan in the ceiling turned on by itself, it was really really old and we didn't think it worked, but somehow the old stiff switch was turned all the way to high, it went off, low, med, high, and it wasn't that easy to turn. Also, one time I went to the basement and opened the door to the storage room and somehow a little plastic cart with crap on it was in front of the door, the wheels were old and broken, literally bent at a 90 degree angle to the leg of the cart, so I don't know how that moved.Masterstyle wrote:
