Ok my mouse is on the way out, just been to Overclockers.uk to order one of those Razer`s. They have 10+ deathadders but the copperheads are out of stock and they don`t stock diamondbacks. Is it coz the copperheads are a lot better or will i be safe with the deathadder. One is laser the other optical does it make any differrence. If you think i`m better off with one of the others i can then look elsewhere.

Tried searching found nothing conclusive apart from personal taste, it just seemed strange ones out of stock while there is plenty of the others for the same price.

many thanks for any advice.

Any particular reason you aren't looking at a Logitech G5?

copperhead is the better

2000dpi and on-the-fly

and ultrapolling

the g5 has none of that.

Yeah, razer are good. I have a copperhead, and it's a very good mouse. Looking at the deathadder, it seems similar, except for the shape/look of the mouse itself. I'm guessing it would really come down to which you think looks better (I don't think the deathadder comes in different colours), and you're budget.

Someone who actually has the deathadder could probably fill you in more, I just did a quick search on google.

I recommend the MX518 over the G5 and Razer mice.

I suggest a Poll with the following:

Deathadder
Diamondback
Copperhead
Krait
other

We all know that the Deathadder is the best mouse on the market (available for end users at least) followed closely by the MX518 and Diamondback (between these two it's just the handling). Laser mice are crap for faster movements anyway.

Both mice have 2000 dpi.

Both mice have on the fly sensitivity adjustment.

The both have the exact same number of reports/s.

No, you don't know what you're talking about.

Oh, and I would recommend the MX518 over everything else.

A mouse is something that you will ALWAYS use.....so make it one that you are comfortable, is actually good at what it does and has the features you'll use.

So not that piece of shite Dell excuse for a mouse.

And I reccommend the G5 over the MX518 having actually used both for a long time.

no only razer has on the fly its trademarked

no g5 doesnt have ultra polling as thats also trademarked to razer.

we could argue all day.

edit: you may be able to change the dpi on a g5, but its not on the fly

Dude, they trademarked names for things that do the exact same thing. I'm glad you pay so close attention to ads without actually looking at the product.

Edit: Yes you can change the dpi on the fly. I doubt you've even seen a logitech mouse.

Well that's not true you can change the sensitivity on the fly with a G5, however, the on the fly adjustments on the G5 leave a lot to be desired, and I mean a lot, if i remember right there's like 3 settings, the Razer has 20, plus on the fly DPI adjustment and you can fiddle with the polling rate on the fly too.

And G5s are for fatty hands lol j/k.

BTW go copperhead, the Death Adder does beat the Copperhead in benchmarks, what they leave out is to get to the speeds where the Death Adder performs better you'd need to be moving your arm at around 150mph or something daft like that, which you wont do, so its pointless, so go for aesthetic design and ergonomics, which the Copperhead wins at by miles.

Sorry, what? They work flawlessly on XP and Vista, and have shit loads more options than Logitech software (and I know most people dont bother using Setpoint as it's just that poor).
