Just installed updated drivers for my graphics card (Nvidia 7600GT) the old driver worked great, no issue, now when I play 2142 everything works fine, except for the fact my console is all grabled(i do use that console).  Anyone know a fix?  if not ill just rollback the drivers, no biggie.

Ive tried deleting shader cache and all that, as well as other graphics settings, no results
I run on all medium with 1024x768@70Hz

Cant, well I could if I want my screen to look like crap, best resoultion for a 17"  Not that 800x600 fixed it either.

Guess ill rollback, new drivers dont really do anything besides provide a cleaner interface, nothing more.

I've seen weird stuff happen like this in .. what was it, FEAR, I think, when ClearType was disabled.

I have a 17" and my res is 1280x960.

1024x768 is not the best.

What's this? Manufacturers conforming to standards? What monitor do you have?

NEC LCD1712

Nothing fancy, just a cheap little 17".
I run BF2 and pretty much every other game on 1280x1024 though.

But i prefer 1280x960 for desktop viewing. 1280x1024 for desktop viewing is a tad too small.

I like 1024x768, otherwise everythings to small for me, generally run games at 800x600 but 2142 looks all wrong at that setting.

As for AA, dont even have it enabled in game, and the new menu with the drivers doesnt let me adjust AA options.

This is your reason right here. BF 1942 had the same problem. Anti aliasing was applied to the console for some dumb ass reason. Back then normal game text changed too from anti aliasing, and it didn't get better it got worse just like you see in your console now. A bad way to implement text IMO.

I think newer video cards don't have this problem with BF2, but 1942 was always like that for me at least, regardless of card type.

Fixed it, turns out that the drivers turned AA on to 4x without my knowledge, took some digging to find the settings, just gotta test it now, +1 to those who mentioned AA
