Friday, May 19th: Girlfriends 23rd birthday. We go to a fancy Mexican restaurant with her Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, Grandma, Brothers GF and me. She gets $150 in birthday money and a free meal. Also she gets to wear a funny sombrero and get serenaded by an illegal immigrant.
Saturday, May 20th: Girlfriend and the rest of the party mentioned above attend the University of Dallas's Presidential Gaila. Orderves and punch are served while a live brass band plays Glenn Millers "In The Mood" for ambiance. She gets to dress up like a princess and drink wine, which apparently is really fun although I couldn't figure out what was so fun about getting dressed in a tux and eating motzerella sticks.
Sunday, May 21st: Girlfriend graduates from college with a Bachelor of Science degree. I get a sunburn.
Sunday, May 21st-evening: As family leaves to go home I stop her dad and ask if it's ok to ask hs daughter something later. He says yeah and then gives me a 30 minutes lecture on God and baby Jesus. Later that night I get on one knee and ask my girlfriend to marry me, then slide 2g's worth of diamonds onto her finger.
Monday, May 22nd-12:03A.M.: We be fucking. It be good. I approved.
