Hey, just wanted to see how many of you out there collect items from the World War II era.  I have a huge facination with the subject....so far I have a German Quist 64 M40 beaded helmet with size 56 liner, a US Army Officers Dress Cap, a bunch of bayonets, German Cap Eagle w/ swas, war ration coupons, and a ton of WWII related photos and books.  Here are a few samples....I'd be interested in seeing your collections.

A few interesting photos showing German POWs, Sherman Tanks, a German halftrack and a US tank destroyer in action.

And here's a look at the whole display...all these books are WWII related (the steins/glasses are not ).

I don't have any WWII stuff(other than a naval aviator life vest).  My grandfather served in WWI as a Maxuim gunner.  I have a brittish doeboy helmet, as well as a german helmet with the spike on top, that he left behind.

I have over 1,000 photos from WWII, most were taken by my Grandfather off the USS Wasp.

I also have the photo of the last kamikaze in the Pacific.

My grandfather also was in the Pacific theatre but was stationed on an island rearming bombers...not sure which one unfortunately.  I'm currently trying to get his ww2 items to hold on to...guess he had a few medals and other misc items.

I have a Canadian WW I/ II helmet, an American WWII helmet, an Italian equivalent of a bronze star for the army from WW I and will soon be getting a German officers ring that my great grandfather took off a German during World War I.

My collection is just starting, i am hoping to pick up the most common bolt action rifles of the two world wars next.

I've got a few nice daggers from the Nazi side of things. SS Officer dagger, normall SS dagger, SA officer dagger, couple of normal SA daggers. Some Luftwaffe daggers, officers and not officers. Walther pistol etc. Pretty pricey habit to have though, lucky my grandfather knows a lot of people in the collectors business!

Wow...excellent collection +1.  I don't have any SA/SS daggers as of yet, but will be getting a Hilter Youth knife (i see you have 2) soon.  I'm also looking to get a luftwaffe 1st/2nd model dagger but as you say, finding a nice one in good condition can empty the wallet fast.  It's cool to see that on most daggers, you still have the hangers!  Great stuff...ty for sharing.

Yay, it counts!

Well, I don't have pics of them (as of yet) but here's a list of what I do have:

[*] Sherman Tank (75mm gun)
[*] Sherman Tank (105mm howitzer gun)
[*] Late Model Tiger I
[*] Panzer IV
[*] 3 Halftracks of varying apperance
[*] Flak 88 Field gun
[*] 20mm Flak gun (in quad)
[*] Various bits and pieces, sandbags, walls, random infantry sets...

If I remember, I'll go on Tamiya and obtain photos of the ones I have. (Also bear in mind, none of mine are painted yet, so don't be too 'wowed' when you see the pics from there )

Yea you can certainly get cheap German reproduction helmets for $100 off ebay sure...but when it comes to authentic, you'll pay a ton more.
