BTW it took them several weeks to get the footage because they kept getting killed on some of those scenes.

The footage is from the build 6 weeks ago, so expect way more stuff when a new video comes out.

Here is some real (not that cam shit from E3) gameplay footage taken from a press event in London a few days ago:

'Take the Beach' (Played on Assisited Mode ie. Easy)

Part 1:

Part 2:

'Blinding the Dragon' (Played on Hardcore mode)

Part 1:

Part 2:

It looks even better

Though the AI still needs a bit of work, CM say that it is still being worked on.

Have there been tentative system requirements posted?  I didn't see any on the developer's site.

I've got a Q6600 (not OC'd), with 4 GB RAM and a GTX 260 Black Edition, but with all of the visual effects they claim to be implementing, I'm still thinking I might not be able to enjoy all the goods they deliver.  Guess if that's the case I'll have to finally utilize Freezer's overclocking thread...

Whoa, good job I'm going for the PS3 version

Hard Disk only 8GB? Weird. These days everything takes about 10GB and up just about.

Sorry about this, but I just found out that those requirments are not final:

Hi all,

Some of you may have seen some specs posted around the internet for the PC version of the game. I've been informed that these are not currently correct and are based on old un-optimised versions of the PC code.

Once the PC code has been fully optimised, we will be releasing the definitive minimum & recommended specs.
Sorry.

One thing I'm hoping for is that helicopters will spin out if the tail rotor gets fuxed. The two shot down in the vid exploded in mid-air which was was what happened on the original Arma if they took too much damage, but light damage was enough to shut off the engine or tail rotor, so hoping that happens. Watching helicopters spin out would be epic.

Won't this game be quite boring a lot of the time? Such as, walking, etc.

In my mind right now, it's just Project Reality but shinier.

Am I right in thinking this, or will it have a BF2-Arcadey style?

Its been designed to be a simulator game that people from other games can get used to, more accessible.

They did say at one point that it wouldn't really be just walking all the time either and at the points you are, you'll move a lot faster than you do in PR.

The original Flashpoint actually had a feature that you could use to speed up the gamespeed so you could get to places quickly.

It can be a slower pace but its designed for that, BF2's gameplay is meant to be fast, which is why PR doesn't work the best with the type of game.

OFP is far more intense and more tactical so it works out.
