Downgraded/modified my gaming rig to:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ [email protected] (5200+), from an E7200
200+160GB HD, from 160GB HD
MSI K9N SLI (FUCKING ASS MOBO) from GA-P35-DS3.
Rest of the specs (2GB XMS2 6400, 8800GT, 24" screen etc remain unchanged)

Because I don't need my E7200, which runs waaay too hot for my overclocks. Might as well sell it and get something nice.

The cable management didn't end up as bad as I thought, I'm quite happy considering that it took about 20 minutes to mount this whole machine.

Computer in place behind the screen. Fits just nicely. Running without side panels for better airflow (There's a wall 1cm from the other side of it, and the screen about 5cm from it on the visible side, so there is zero point in side panels)

Everything back like before, wouldn't even guess that it's a whole other computer there.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. going to see the lie of the land first mate. I reckon that the Mobo is really designed for using with a fluid system - however i'm not conivinced of the need to OC the CPU, yet, it's not like it's an early Pentium chip that you had to squeez every last drop out of!! if it turns out that i'm going to have to push it hard then air cooling will be dumped for a fluid cooling solution..

Yeah. I hate the look of previous Gigabyte boards. And damn you to hell Max! All that stuff looks so shiny and awesome, it makes me want to bust out the debit cards and do some shopping!
