The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I'm fine with this mobo:) I wanted something that could have good OC when I wanted and be stable. I plan to overclock past 3GHz once I get the new cooler.Freezer7Pro wrote:

What a waste.
My last motherboard was shit. Abit kn9 SLi would drop my keyboard/mouse because the PCIe voltage got too high. That build sucked because my 7900s were crap as well. The replacement 7900s I got were still busted and only worked if I underclocked the mem. core on them.

Antec 900 case.
Intel Q6600 G0 @ 3.0ghz or 3.6Ghz depending what I plan on doing.
Arctic Freezer 7 pro
4x1GB Corsair TwinX XMS2 DDR2 800Mhz 5-5-5-15
Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6 x38 motherboard.
GeCube HD3870XT 512mb DDR4 PCI-e OC @ 820/1146
2x Hitachi 250GB SATA II 8mb in RAID 0.
Creative X-fi Extreme Gamer sound card.
DVD-RW drive with lightscribe SATA.
OCZ StealthXStream 600w
5.25" card reader/usb/temperature monitor/fanspeed controller
LG 22" TFT 5000:1 2ms.
Vista 64bit SP1.
I have stuck some vibration/noise reduction padding in there but it doesn't make a huge different in a case like this because of all the fans. Works brilliant in my silent HTPC.
12.3K in 3DMark06. Will get the 4850 when its out. Maybe two if you can't hybrid crossfire with the 3870.

Awesome case. Well done with that. I've bought a few of them. Utterly silent, cool, dirt cheap, nicely built, not bad looking and fitted with a 450W Seasonic PSU - can't say fairer than that for £50.Squig2510 wrote:
