Ram expanded to 1024 mb
Radeon 9800 pro 128 mb

runs bf2 on med, but it overheats to easy then, so I run on low

Yours is worse than mine too, lol.  You have more RAM though.

recently upgraded to 2gb ram and a pair of raptors in RAID0

needless to say it is fast

i mean, windows boots in about 15-20 seconds

As soon as my parents decide to actually go out and try to find some couches for that room, they're going to buy a new real desk.  This is a tiny 4-person dinner table from my grandmas old restaurant with a white tablecloth over it.

Yeah, the RAM is probably the only thing you'll be able to change if you don't know much about laptops.  That seems to be the only thing you need though.  You're probably running an AMD Athlon 3000+ or something which, as I have googled, is a 1.8GHz processor so you meet the minimum at least.  Get at least a gigabyte of RAM, you'll see a HUGE difference in BF2 play; pretty much all lag will be gone in BF2 besides the ping/lag spikes caused by 1.3, BF2 will load faster, and everything on your computer will run faster.  I'm not sure which one though, the number of pins on laptop RAM are all over the place depending on how much memory you want, from a looking a Newegg at least.

AMD 3000+ runs faster than a P4 3.0ghz. Conroe 1.86ghz runs faster than P4 3.6ghz

occed my old PC with watercooling and thats a hell of a lot cheaper than a brand new PC
