When I played the demo, I hated the M24. I was like, "Ew, it takes so long to kill someone!"
Not me, I like the SVD. Most people just fire away with it and kill people in multiple shots. I always aim for the head. The cool thing about the SVD is if you miss the head, there is less recoil and less time before you can shoot again so you can realign your shot faster.

There are some people who are really good with the SVD, and will do anything to get their hands on one. For example, TheAngryDolphin. I play with him a lot, and he owns with the SVD. Of course, he kicks ass with most other aspects of combat, but that's not the point.
i like the svd when i can see the whole person but when its just a bit of their head i dont like it.

I will be making a svd and l85 frag vid, for all you nubs like you that think they are n00b weapons. These guns take more skill then most other guns in the game, but once you have learned to control them you can pwn. Both of these guns pwn at long range and cqc.

In reality its all in how you use it. IMO most who use it do so because they couldn't survive if they had to get a headshot to kill, but a good sniper can be pretty brutal with it.
No matter how good you are with a bolt action there are limits. You always give enough time for a revive between shots, and its hard to deal with multiple targets. A good sniper with one of the auto rifle will have a much better chance with the SVD, where he can drop the point man, then the medic as he rushes out...ect, all with out giving them time to get cover.
SVD is the best sniper rifle easily.

The SVD is a good rifle but when it comes down to it you have to choose which rifle but suits your style. The SVD can do a good amount of damage and have a pretty good rate of fire. It's pretty good.
i think they need to fix the snipers
