I'm gonna go with logistics because you can have the biggest armed forces in the world but if you can't feed it, or fuel it it will be worth absolutely nothing.

Hows about all of them together working as a team??

There was no most important asset in WWII. Without any of these listed, the others would've been screwed. Logistics seem to fit nicely as an 'assist all' asset, but without anything to command, they too are useless.

Air power and logistics. Air power gives dominance, it gave Germany dominance in the start of barbarossa, then gave the Russians dominance in the winter, gave Germany dominance over the channel, then after a year dominance for the Brits, it gave dominance over the Med to Germany then 2 years later dominance to the allies.

What more can I say.

This has been covered in a topic of mine from many a moon ago....infantry is usless if you can't feed them, air power is useless if your planes don't have fuel, same with naval vessels and armor.

Without a good logistical supply chain, nothing moves, nothing fights, and all aspects of your military, no matter how high tech or effective, just became useless.
Logistics, plan and simple.

Oh, and superslim, your 5 ton truck dosen't get anything done if it dosen't have fuel itself.

Germany lost the war because they did not have the resources to fuel and feed their army. The Russians could also pursue in large part due to the fact that Britian and the U.S. shipped them supplies. But this goes hand in hand with air superiority and infantry, as Air power can easily eliminate armor, so can infantry.

"Amateurs study tactics. Professionals study logistics"

I'm not sure who said that.

I agree with your point, logistics is very important, but without men in the field who would fire the weapons or take a village?  Remember infantry did the greatest sacrifice during the WWII.

Obviously the branch of military science and operations dealing with the procurement, supply, and maintenance of equipment, with the movement, evacuation, and hospitalization of personnel, with the provision of facilities and services, and with related matters.

AKA Logistics.

How did the infantry get to the fight? Get their weapons? Get the ammo for those weapons? Get food and water and medical supplies so they can survive?

Oxygen.

Can't have soldiers without oxygen. Can't have internal combustion without oxygen.

Oxygen won the war.

GG. Go from the list people.

Everything is important.  IMO debating over which is most important is dumb.  There are soooooooo many other factors besides just the physical aspects of war.  Because the Allies had great logistics, they were able to invade France on D-day.  Because the Allies had almost total air control over Europe in 1944/45, infantry was able to move in without danger of airstrikes.

It just goes in a cirlce.  Like the Battlefield 1942 box, or rock-paper-scrissors.  Plane bombs tank, tank destroys anti-aircraft gun, anti aircraft gun destroys plane.

All of them.  No single part won the war.  If one of those had not excelled then the rest would have failed.
Ex: Navy fails, logistics fails, infantry/ air force fails.

Without infantry, you can't invade a country.  Without a Navy, you can't ship infantry to other continents.
