Why would they even want to do that, doesn't seem like good business sense to me. Doesn't seem like the most likely person to be able to pay them back.

This is truly disturbing, but it reveals the true agenda of big banking -- making money at all costs, regardless of the damage to society.

Well, I guess Bank of America wants illegal immigrants to join the rest of the U.S. in being in debt... but yeah, simply put, your words say it best:

Just another immoral method of making money.

Get used to it.

well, don't neocons believe that a business should be able to do whatever they want to turn a profit?

Because it is easier to get your payment when your clients run the risk of getting deported as a penalty.

Neoliberals are just as bad.

We need a return to the true liberals and conservatives.  All this neo shit isn't working, and it screws the common man.

Liberals.

They must be stopped.

At all costs.

We need a return to everyone just being American again and deciding on the issues themselves. I'm so tired of the fucking Hatfields and McCoys, everyone picks a side and hates the other. Half of them don't even know why.

Look at delta4bravo. If someone's here and doesn't have an SSN, they're not necessarily illegal. If they are, then the only thing they should be worried about getting is a free trip back to their country in chains.

No, people who have nothing to contribute aside from name calling should be stopped. Liberals, conservatives and moderates are just exercising their right to have their own opinions.

The important thing is that you have a form of identification.  You are a legal citizen of the Netherlands (I'm assuming).

The problem with this policy here is that there are millions of Mexicans here without identification that are illegal immigrants.  I know you're already aware of that, but it bears repeating.

Since you're legal, there's no problem with you getting a card.

Um, no.

I'm not name calling, at all.  Giving credit cards and what not to ILLEGALS is a liberal thing.  These people should not get health care, or any other government benefits.  You're sick?  Tough shit.  I don't want my hard earned money going to these shit heads.  I don't work so that mexicans can have a better life.  No sir.

Plenty of neoconservatives support this kind of thing too.  Bush isn't exactly a liberal, but he's pretty lenient on the immigration thing.

Please, let's not turn this thread into a Bush-bashing.

Go to Mexico tommorow.  Try to get credit from a bank there.  Not gonna happen.

Ah...  So when I prove you wrong, you try diversionary tactics.

The point is this: both parties are colluding to aid in this fiscal irresponsibility.  You can't blame one without blaming the other.

I'm not doing anything diversionary.  Let's just leave Bush out of this....you know as well as I do what will happen if we go down that path.

We, as Americans, need to stand up for OUR country...and it needs to be realized that OUR citizens need to come first.  Illegal immigrants should be way, way, way down the list.

This is one of those circumstances that seems to call for the carefully applied use of explosives.

They are simply dealing with the reality that the federal government has  abandoned the Southern border.

Well, I define standing up for America as getting out of expensive warfare and focusing on domestic defense and border security.  Along with that comes more fiscal responsibility and corporate accountability.

Standing up for America is a multi-front thing.  Once you can get people in power to agree to do that, then you have to figure out the priorities.  Politicians have gotten quite bad.  Ugh.

I agree on all counts.  The decrease in the quality of our politicians is mostly a result of the classism.  Bush is completely out of touch because of the aristocracy he was born into.

John Kerry is the same.

What we need now is a leader who has known adversity and poverty.  We need someone with humble enough beginnings that he/she can relate to the troubles of the common man.  Unfortunately, it will be very difficult to produce a presidential candidate like this with the current system in place....
