Just curious about how many of the people that have BF2142 still play BF2. Personally I only play BF2142 now, haven't fired up BF2 in weeks. Post your reasons here if you want.

I keep meaning to start up BF2.
Then I remember I haven't patched up.
Then I also remember that I'm going to suck after getting used to BF2142 tactics.

I play alot of BF2142 now,tend to play BF2 when alot of mates are on which isn't very often.
I play them both the same.

bf2142 mostly, but i go back to bf2 once in awhile.
question, if we havent fired up bf2 in awhile, are we in danger of losing our soldier on it? it doesn't seem likely because we have our accounts linked, correct?

BF2142...I cannot freaking stand the tank whores and jet whores of BF2 anymore, or the obscene carrier raping on Wake...or Zatar...or Dragon Valley...the list goes on and on. Instead, I smile every time as I put a rocket into a tanks ass in 2142, knowing they will have no time to scream 'bullshit!' before they blow up near-instantaneously. Or one-shotting a gunship with a well-placed tank shell...there are ZERO decent pilots for gunships in 2142 thus far, and I'm happy that the skys never seemed more friendly than now.

Yea I think the results got skewed a little because it seems that a lot of people that only have BF2 have also voted. I should have made it clear that it was only for BF2142 owners. Oh wait, I did.

BF2142 most of the time but every now and again I don't have to be a good hubby on a friday night and get to have a BF2 session with some of the great guys here.
I have both and I play and will play BF2 mostly. My game time in BF2142 is about 22 hours. Don't get me wrong it's a good game and I like it too but I personally think that the "War Atmosphere" in BF2 (especially in Special Forces) is much better. The guns & vehicles have a better feeling. And the movement is smoother. Has nothing to do with all the "I don't like Mechs and Laser Beams" stuff...as I'm going to buy Quake Wars too(when it's available ). That's just my opinion.
There needs to be some sort of screening input on the forums to stop people who hate 2142 getting onto this side of the forum.
Time to move on everyone. BF2142 is thoroughly absorbing. I haven't played BF2 since I got it. THe whole career points system and pointfulness in becoming a more complete player is brilliant. Titans? Masterstroke!
I play 2142 exclusively because there are no titans in karkand.
Well start BF2 sometimes when some friends wanna play it but then I remember the HUGE loading times, takes about 5min or more to load that friking game, while BF2142 just goes under 30sec. So only few times I played after i got BF2142
I play 2142 due to the fact its much better optimized then bf2. Loading a SF map takes about 5 minutes on my machine, it takes me about 30 seconds to load a 2142 map.
Plus i've adjusted to 2142. Yeah I was still good in bf2, but it just didnt feel right. I acctually didn't enjoy myself.
