in one of the videos, they show, pretty much like all racing games, you're rebuilt and stuck back on the track.

Check out Resistance: Fall of man

That looks impressive.

Damn through all that flash I couldn't find a damn trailer.

Why do video game companies feel they must make hard to navigate flash sites?

From what I could tell, just looked like another WWII shooter though.

dude ps3 is better than xbox360, but the  FPS games are not better than the xbox360 FPS. IF you want hD console fps games, chose xbox360. but if you better graphics, more capibility and other kinds of games, then chose ps3. Wii has alot of creativity, good for all gamers and casual and child, cheap. So you want cheap and overall good graphics and good overall games then chose wii or you just a young wii who are attracted to mario and zelda. give me karma

Paying over $400 for a console is rediculous.

As far as the Wii goes, your loss, I'm glad we will have less people like you fucking up our gaming experience by asking for titles like HALO.

Edit: For all you saying the Wii changes nothing from the previous system, what do the other consoles change? Graphics? Is that it? Given a choice between 8-bit Mario and looking at Hi-Def super-realistic versions of Ridge Racer, I'll stick with the plumber.
400 for a console is pretty damn ridiculous, but then if u look at pc gamers, a decent budget card is 200, and then of course your gonna get a more expensive proc, say 100 extra, and then you want at least 2 gigs for games nowadays(1 gig will do but its not so nice) so say tag an extra 100 on the system for more ram, thats at least $400 extra just for gaming if you don't up the video and what not. And then you have the pleasure of having to install and update then game and then deal with windows when its on its period and then updating video drivers. For 95% of the population buying the console that costs just as much if not less than what it would cost to upgrade their pc and then not having to worry about the game crashing and patching it and shit. And just for those who cant do math for shit, it is worth it to buy the PS3 just to use the bluray drive as compared to buying a standalone player- not to say id do it for that reason. I don't do consoles, i like gaming- email - instant messaging - etc all in one,(i also have issues with certain games and joysticks - i need my asdw and mouse for walking and driving). I get enough use out of my expensive pc to justify spending extra money on it and maintain it. You have to admit it is nice to not have to worry about your game crashing or needing a patch, sure there are small issue with console games here and there but for the most party its hard to justify why anyone would do pc gaming.

Okay with the PS3 launch less than 10 days away in the US, I'm hearing a lot of "oh PS3 is too expensive, I'll get a 360 instead) because its a set price of $499 (20gb) and $599 (60gb). What they dont know is that the 360 doesnt include HD/DVD, where as PS3 includes Blu-Ray drive and on release, will be the cheapest Blu-Ray player available. (I went into a shop today and saw a samsung Blu-Ray drive it was selling at £999)

Now, I may sound like a Sony fan boy, but I've owned a Xbox, Gamecube and PS2 and for overall gaming experience, I preferred the PS2. It looks like I'll be sticking with Sony again this year. I was planning on getting a 360 but after all the problems I heard with the systems and lack of killer titles (Dead Rising and GOW are the only titles worth buying a 360 for), I opted out of buying one.

As for the Wii, I don't intend on ever owned a console that involves the name "Wii" (Said Wee, which is an English word for Piss) and waving your arms around like someone with special needs.

After doing my own research on the price difference between a 360 and a PS3 (both core systems), I've come to the conclusion that the core PS3 is infact cheaper than a 360 IF. See for yourself

This is why ps3 > 360

PS3 Core Console: $499
360 Core Console: $299

Harddrive:

PS3: 20GB
360: None

Online:

PS3: Free
360: $60

HD player:

PS3: Built in Blu-Ray/Free
360: None - Standard DVD drive. HD/DVD add-on required $200

Final pricing:

PS3: $499
360: $559

The same also applies to the "premium" versions, but with the PS3 you get a 60gb HDD instead of a 20GB. If you are to get a 360 to the standard of a PS3 (HD/DVD/ONLINE PLAY) it's going to cost you $60 extra for a 360

I know most will be sticking to PC, as it's the best choice, but as a console lover I'm doing this for anyone who might be having trouble deciding on what to buy, or anyone misinformed about the prices for the next gen consoles.

(For Wii fans, I didnt bother including this  because I see it as an upgraded Gamecube with a wavey remote, not a next gen console)

Also, I'm very jealous, but still very hyped about the release, despite it not being released till March in my country Lack of mass production of blu-ray diode FTL
Umm, just so you know the 360 is only $399.00 for the PRO pack. Which comes with the HDD

Xbox 360 > PS3

Here's why:

The Xbox 360 has been out for a year and already has an impressive gaming library. The Xbox 360, just today, has set a new standard for next-gen gaming with their release of Gears of War. Additionally, the Xbox 360, just like the Xbox, has the best online gaming plan. It's centralized structure makes it very easy to communicate and play with your friends online. Do not let the PS3's "free online" fool you. The PS2 also had free online gaming, but it suffered from abysmal support. Because it relies on third parties, and not a centralized structure, it will be very difficult to contact and play with your friends. Part of the reason is due to ambiguity concerning which handle the server uses: your PS3 one, or one specific to that game? There was an article released a few days ago about this. Xbox Live, on the other hand, has a huge userbase with countless games and tons of developer support.

Contrary to popular belief, the PS3 does not have "better graphics". If you compare original footage released by Sony to actual gameplay footage recently released, you will notice an extreme drop in quality (take Metal Gear Solid 4, for example). These are the same kinds of promises that Sony made to us with the PS2 and its over-hyped "Emotion Engine" (Toy Story graphics, anyone?). There is nothing developed or currently in development for the PS3 that is graphically superior to Xbox 360's Gears of War. Also, the Cell chip, like the Emotion Engine, is a gimmick. The PS3 is only marginally more powerful than the Xbox 360, but vastly more difficult to develop for. The Cell chip's yields are also surprisingly low. Only 10%-20% of all Cell chips produced are up to standards to use in the PS3. Not to mention Sony is implementing Blu-Ray, which is losing the format war to HD-DVD and will probably fail horribly (remember UMD movies on the PSP?).

And then we have the issue of price. The Xbox 360's core and premium versions are $200 cheaper than Sony's respective offerings. Why more pay for an inferior console with inferior games and a losing format? If money is no object, get an Xbox 360 and a Wii.

If you still have your doubts, watch this:

I agree completely I had a gamecube for a while and my grandma had a PS2 I like the graphics way better on gamecube and it isn't that good of graphics. when i got my xbox i noticed a huge difference in the graphics playing GTA san Andreas on the PS2 i couldn't hardly see anything but on xbox i could see just as if it was light out.

Okay, but i'll be the one laughing at all you Wii freaks waving your arms about looking like retards.
You're probably one of those guys who leans against the wall at parties wishing that he had the balls to actually risk his pride and actually talk to a woman.

I'll be enjoying my Wii on November 17th, waving my hands all over the place, playing a completely different game than anyone has ever played and loving every minute of it.

You'll be staring at your updated graphics and enjoying a "wii" of your own.

The main advantage of the 360 is the fact that it can be upgraded. Most people dont really look at this fact but here is what amkes the 360 the better console...Dont have $400 for the premium? get a core and upgrade it later. With the PS3 you HAVE to spend $500 to get the gimped version with an internal, non-removeable hard drive. The graphics are the same yet the AI will be better on the 360 because of its 3 cores in the processor. 360>PS3

you need to do research, the PS3 has a core processor that delegates threads to 8 other processors on the die, so by you logic the PS3 AI will be over 2.5 times better, and then lets take a look at pricing, lets say you take away $200 from the PS3 so that makes the PS3 with the 60 gig and all its other integrated equipment the same as the less functional small capacity 20 gig 360, hmmm, you know, if u cant dish out at least and extra hundred bucks how the fuck do you expect to buy more than 1 or 2 of the $50 dollar games or multiple controllers and what not? So basically you dont kno anything about the consoles themselves and have the foresight of a blind dog.

P.S. amkes is spelled makes and removeable is spelled removable

Breaking News:

Every game on the PlayStation 3 will use the same universal sign-in and the same online ID, Sony has confirmed - even titles which do not use the central buddy list and messaging systems offered by the console.

i cant wait for my ps2 to become obsolete and for the price of a ps3 to come down so i am not one of those fools dropping too much money on something just so they can say how cool they are in being one of the first to have it.  Not worth it.

but...with all that being said....i will get one when ps3 comes down to about less than or equal to $300 or so....its gonna be amazing no doubt, but not $600 worth amazing....i can buy myself a new processor and motherboard for that that will run the table on a ps3....the price just seems way too much.  I cant wait to watch ebay around christmas time...lol...thats gonna be entertaining.
