It wasn't in the video card list but its a simple question.

Heres my computor stats:

AMD athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 4200+, 1.4GB RAM, and ATI RADEON EXPRESS 200 SERIES.

         Thanks for your help.

jesus, so many things wrong.

You need a better graphics card. NEED. at least a 7800 GT for your processor. And probably an upgrade to some DDR2 RAM, 2 gigs worth

Dude, you're insane.  The ONLY thing he needs to upgrade is the video card.  And he doesn't need a 7800.  7600 GT will run BF2 on high with 2x antialiasing no problem.  He can save $100 easy.

This is what I just bought and it runs BF2 at the exact settings I just mentioned.  Plus I'm running only 1.5 GB of RAM as well:

I'd say the 7600 GT as well.  Futreproofing is good practice and all, but so is bankruptproofing.  Theres still not anything wrong with old school pc3200.  (even though its not uber-leet)

His RAM is fine, only his vid card needs to be fixed, just like the guy above me.

Well it's hard to future proof when DirectX 10 cards aren't available but will be early next year.  That's why I was perfectly content to plop down just a cool $140 to play BF2 on high res until the next gen cards come out.  It's too late in the game to "future proof" a machine by getting a high end DX9 video card.

EDIT: Unless you have no intention of going to Windows Vista, then yes, get a high end DX9 card.

Well... at least your computer isn't at the bare minimums.
And it should be, "Will this run well?".  Sorry, just taking too much English.

Brand shouldn't matter unless it's a Dell (not kidding, they tend to like to make it a pain to upgrade). All you really need to know is whether you use AGP or PCI-E and how much power you have available. You shouldn't have any problems with anything like a 6800 or better.

He CANT use DDR2, you retards. Just get a better video card- that one is shit. And 1.4Gb of RAM is an odd amount.

I'd agree... 1.4Gb is a very odd amount. Care to tell how you ended up with that?
smith is right, btw. The only AMD stuff that supports DDR2 is AM2 when it gets the bugs worked out.
