I thought some of you might enjoy the insane dress code we have. Mainly for reading pleasure.
(I edited out the non-important stuff) (all in all the dress code is 2 pages typed) (the one in red is the one that is never followed nor enforced and I hate the sweatshirt rule, because who wears a collared shirt under a sweatshirt?) Really the reason I am doing this is because I am procrastinating from doing homework.
Collared polo-style shirt (short or long sleeves)
Collared button up shirt (short or long sleeves)
HCS sweatshirts (including hooded) with acceptable shirt style underneath
Unacceptable styles:
Tops with pictures or writing
Girls’ shirts must cover midriff (front and back) at all times and are to be properly sized. Midriff (front and back) should not be exposed when sitting, bending or standing or girls will be asked to tuck in their shirt.
Boys’ shirts must be tucked in at all times.
Bottoms with belt loops for boys must be belted at all times. Bottoms are to be worn at the natural waist – Boys.
Boys’ hair must be cut so that it is off the collar, off the eyebrows, and near the top of the ear. Sideburns should be neatly trimmed and must be no longer than the bottom of the ear. Male students must be clean-shaven.
Faddish extremes in dress and grooming are not allowable.
ENFORCEMENT OF DRESS CODE
Grades 9-12 (Based on one quarter)
Students will receive a detention for a dress code violation. Four detentions per quarter for any offense (tardiness, dress code violation, misconduct) will result in an in-house suspension with academic penalty
