I'm loving this mod, it's BF2 and more. All the weapons are different and skinns are way better. Sniper Rifle has 2x ZOOM!!! Armour has 2 different types of shells, plenty of armor to go around, not just APCs. You gotta try this game. Even the game intro and sever browser theme is nice.

The most amazing aspect are the air assets when they fly by when they are low to the ground. My jaw dropped...so much detail and the skin is so much better.

This is the mod worth paying for, yet its the very thing that's free.

As far as ping I have a D-Link Gamer Lounge 4300, 4100 is just as good, it will lower your ping.

not a big fan of the 2x zoom. you know when you zoom out while you're lagging and sometimes it puts you back into zoomed mode? extra annoying when you've got a guy locked on and shooting at you and you can't zoom out to run behind your cover, you keep cycling, and you're dead.

I've played for about 10 hours now and all I can say is 'wow'! This is just a phenomenal mod. If you don't have it yet....why the hell not! Go now, you must DL it!

Very stable...cinematics are awesome...environments are VERY immersive...just overall one of the best mod experiences I've ever had. To echo others' comments, you can tell they spent a year on details.

The number of servers is growing daily so keep trying.

Also, prepare to die.... a lot. Weapons pack a punch.... armor and air do NOT rule the day... and if you want infantry only, try a map called Fallen...and be prepared to flinch and shoot every moving bush or tree...just a great, intense map.

PoE group... my hat's off, it was well worth the wait.

fallen is amazing. It was the first map i played and i couldnt believe it. truly an entirely different game.

Su-25 actually rips tanks apart with the cannon alone, better than USI did it, but the thing overheats really fast, real helicopter killer aswell. Takes more skill becuase when in Cannon mode there isn't a box around enemy targets.

The HUD on the planes/tanks are also so much cleaner and sharper than in BF2.

Yeah it's like a separate game, it installs it's own icon on your desktop so you can play either.

And yeah the mod needs it's own section, it rocks..
