Unlocks - How do you get them?

How do you get the unlocks? I count...21 Unlocks. There are 14 unlocks in BF2.

Either there are going to be more ranks, more unlocks per rank, or people will just not be able to get all the unlocks, or not get them til they are *really* high rank.

Anybody know anything on getting unlocks, or getting rank, or the rank structure?

The common number of 14 and 21 is 3 so I'd guess 3 unlocks per rank, but I can damn near guarantee I'm wrong.

Its normally 2 per rank up,you also get 3(or 2) free if you own Special forces.
The ranking system is on Ubar if you click on this at the top it has all the ranks and unlocks.

At first sargeant you should have all the unlocks apart from 2 of them (asuming you have SF).

you will be able to unlock 2 gun in the same time... and you will have some extra unlock when you buy SF

Wether or not you have SF you will get 1 unlock at each promotion, if you have played SF just once you will get 2 unlocks at each promotion.

I knew this would happen. People were experiencing problems with the Vanilla/SF-section division. Now that there's a 2142 section, the BF2s lemmings' heads explode from excess confusion.

i think it would be sweet if you wanted to unlock for a kit you would actually have to play that kit.

alsoi like how you have to unlock equipment too instead of just guns.

There are 42 unlocks, and I've been getting 2 unlocks per rank. I don't know if later on you get more unlocks per rank or not, I'm only a Gold Gunner. It takes 4 unlocks per gun.
