Alright. Say you duplicate xpack and rename the folder to "funmod".

Make a new shortcut pointing to bf2.exe. Right click the shortcut and select properties. Go to the end of the "Target" field and add "+modPath mods/funmod" minus the quotes. Capitalization is registered, so it must be +modPath.

Yes, basically the same way.  In the tweak files.  Be sure to copy your files to another folder before changing anything.

I am glad someone is still attempting to make mods on this forum.

Has anyone messed around with the bots yet.  I am modifying original single player BF2 maps.  Adding CP and spawn points/objects etc.  The bots do not seem to like them (they stand around and do nothing) and trying to modify the AI files has only resulted in CTD.

Yes, very entertaining to stand there with C4.  The bots just stand there and blink while you press the detonator.  So much fun.
