I'm curious to know what sort of earthquake preparedness/education countries outside NZ have? I'm thinking along the lines of basic stuff that you're taught during your school years. I'm partilcularly interested in what those who live on/near faultlines (eg. LA/San Francisco) have to say but of course anyone is welcome to pipe up
When I was younger it was typically along the lines of where to take shelter if indoors, what to put in a survival pack & where to put it etc. Currently I have all my gear (tent/sleeping bag/clothes/food/water/etc) all in a tramping pack that I know I'll be able to access from my intended "ah fuck the roofs caving in" safety point.
And also, how many of you have heard of the "triangle of life" theory? What do you think of it?
