I've been playing for a couple months and started sticking to the same servers after a while. I noticed that I had a few maps I'd never even played before because a lot of servers do the same stuff.

What do you think is the most under-rated map that you'd like to see more often on your favorite server?

songhua, its a gr8 map for infantry battles, some real skill is needed to play it well.

shame hardly anywhere runs it.

Good topic! I also see several maps that are very much underplayed and shunned by many servers. I'm a fan of Zatar Wetlands but also more rarely played is Dragon Valley and Fu She Pass.

Oh, and in my opinion Songhua Stalemate should remain underplayed because it is in fact a poor map in my opinion. Far too spread out and not enough vehicles. Also that fog everywhere is so annoying. And with the two main bases up on those huge hills it really bogs things down.

Songhua and FuShe. Both good maps if there's good teamwork. I find FuShe quite enjoyable in a 12v12 clan match on 32 players. But I don't enjoy 20 players in a 64 man server running FuShe. It's one of those maps that really need to match the amount of players with the map size.

Zatar just sucks if its not a clan match. With 64 players you have to run it on 32 and then the round ends too quickly.

Clean Sweep is good IMO, I've seen it more often recently.

EDIT: Someone should put up a 64 man dedicated server in Texas on a super-high-speed connection (ranked of course), admin it VERY well, and encourage squad play and mic usage (say that commanders must have mics and use them, squad leaders should have mics, people must get in squads if they don't want to be the first kicked to make room).

EDIT 2: With the full 64-man map rotation... aw hell throw in the booster packs too. And the server is always at least filled with 50 players.

Id say Songhua Stalemate, it's so underrated u spelled it wrong. It's a cool maps it's just everyone hates it but doesn't know why?

I think with some of these it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. You don't see them on most servers, and then people just assume that they suck because no one runs them. Some server should try running 24hr under-rated maps to see what happens.

songhua doesn't have enough vehicles? wtf?

it's one of the most APC-heavy maps in the whole game. you can't take a shit on songhua without it falling on an APC.

songhua and mashtuur were the two original blackhawk whoring maps, since they both have very few AA sites and no jets.

i really like zatar. it's a lot of fun, plus it has that expansive feel.

i've never understood why people dont like Shongua Stalemate, never seem to get the chance to play it nowadays. Fu She and Clean Sweep are great also, though I have to admit I dont like Zatar Wetlands. Its just too big if you end up on foot.

I know servers that run Songhua. The difficulty is finding people who stay in the server to run the map.

Either way Im gonna have to vote for Clean Sweep. Just because its fun to snipe there and I got my plane ribbon there.
