What would today be like if there was no internet ?

Imagine this world if there was no internet - What would it be like ?

No getting news the sec it happens - Not being able to stay updated with friends and familys - Computer Sales probably won't be as profitable - No online gaming - The world would have to wait till either the newspaper came or watch the news in the evening to stay current - Information would be much slower to get around

I'm sure the world would still turn even if the internet was never invented, We went all this time before without the useage of the net but its has also been ( I believe) the 20th century greatest invention - there is so much the net has provided that a list could go on on and on - I know there is a downside to the net ( there is a downside to everything ) but the plus outweigh the minus

What do you think?
