it was supposed to be awarded to the highest ranking Sergeant Major every month... but the person who has the rank right now, hasn't logged on since he go it... so he'll keep it (stupid EA and not resetting his stats or something so other people can get it)Jammyc_53 wrote:

to me stat-padding is getting stats without having to do any hard work to get the stats, e.g get a friend to play ranked server with u and u 2 stab and shoot each other to high heaven. even if u play K&P servers u still need skill to get the kills.
The skill it takes to get a large amount of pistol or knife kills on a K&P server is nothing compared to the skill it takes to get the same amount of kills on a regular server.

And while its hard to get knife or pistol kills on a K/P server its even harder on a normal one, but still do-able.
p.s. I reckon the reason for the large number of Gunnery Sergeants is because the step up to the next rank is sufficiently large that it seems like most people are stuck in that bracket. 20,000 - 50,000 is a fair step. Its nice to be higher looking down...
