Ok. Before I start, let me first explain 'random spotting'. Random spotting is when the CO of a team spots an area of the map BLIND. If there is no one there, 'Enemy Forces Spotted' comes up, when there is, the corresponding radio command will appear.
I know that:
1. People in a transport's gunner's seat cannot be spotted
2. Helis/etc. Fast Moving Vehicles are harder to spot.
BUT WHAT THE FUCK IS THE PROBLEM WITH RANDOM SPOTTING? I've had many complaints of 'COMMANDER CAN YOU STFU' when i'm cramping my fingers trying to light up the map for the squads who actually bother flanking and capping back flags, or trying to light up the areas not covered under enemy UAV. For anyone who's actually played in tournaments/scrims will know that spotting/random spotting is your best friend. Its the fastest way to check if a flag is clear, its the easiest way to give your team a heads-up on areas where the enemies are saturated at.
Sure, the non-stop spotting may get irritating, but FFS turn down your radio volume in audio options instead of being a fucking idiot by asking the commander to shut up when he's ACTUALLY doing his job.
There you go.
