Alright, anger done. Here's my point. Bf2 was and is developed by Dice, Canada.

2142 is being developed by Dice, Stockholm.

Delaying 2142 won't help, as it's being developed on the other side of the world.

And, it's being developed by different people, if you don't get where I'm going with this.

BF2 may remain fuxored, hopefully not, but maybe. On the other hand, 2142 has a chance.

DICE Canada (or should i say EA Canada) has done Armoured Fury.
I think they only done desing stuff like maps and vehicules.

So the only hope is they got the bugs fixed from the engine before develloping the game.

GAAAAHHHH! If BF2 is so shite why are you lot all playing it?????? Seriously, if you don't like it, leave.

Lets just wait until they've finished making it before we tear it to shreds shall we? And who's to say ETQW is going to be so good anyway? The team behind that have never attempted a game of that type before so you've got nothing to go on!

I'll *probably* get 2142, that depends on reviews.

I love all these people who claim its just going to be a mod. It uses the same engine as BF2. Quakewars uses the Doom 3 engine. Does that make it a mod of Doom 3?

Well lets see people:

Battlefield 2--- the best online FPS since the good ole days of counterstrike.  Problem is that there are tooooooo many bugs, glitches, hax, and exploits in this game. This last patch 1.3, is the most crappiest patch of all, i get mostly connection problems and the darn thing crashing into the desktop. Damn those fools at EA/DICe dont know how to code games for squat. i rather play dominos with my grandmother than put up with all this crap from this patch. ( any of you guys want to play dominos too?)

BF2 is an awsome game with too many problems. WHat next battlefield 2142 with thousands of glitches ( probably when you fire a weapon everytime, the game crashes, or your FPS drops).


there will always be bugs and glitches in any game. Look at World of Warcraft.

I say fix battlefield 2, give us a few more unlockable weapons, then work on 2142.

As far as i'm concerned BF2142 will rock!!

It seems to me like they have been going for BF2142 the whole time, and BF2 was their "open Beta test".  Which is why they both have the same engine.  I for one expect to buy a great game when it comes out.  Yes, i could be disappointed, but why should you look down upon a game when it hasn't even come out yet?

Though I'm kinda interested in BF2142, I strongly believe that DICE will make some of the BF2 mistakes again.
Who else thinks that BF2142 1.0 will have Bunnyhopping and Dolphindiving until they patch it out again?

they shouldnt release bf2142 out at least for another year, why the hell is it coming so quick, people who have been playing bf2 havent gotten a whole lotta time to play.  now theres another game coming already?
I personally wanna delay the time of release just so I have more time to enjoy bf2 and hopefully get to see at least major....

They should delay BF2142, right. I mean how long do we have BF2 now? One year + a few months when BF2142 comes out? Come on...How much time did we have between BF42 and BFV? Much more than a year and if DICE would finally get its heads out of its asses and work, they could finally make BF2 a wonderful game as enjoyable and exciting as it was in the good old demo-days.
DICE, finnish what you started before you make something new or do you want BF2142 to become as buggy and incomplete as BF2, only because EA doesn't want to give you the time you need?

It´s a moneyquestion if they don´t release BF2142 now Quakewars and the new Unreal will "steal" their" customers, on a sidenote 2142 might actually be fully complete but i doubt that i thik they stress the release

personally i´m really interested in quakewars it looks awsome

I lived through the EA DICE poop pile Battlefield Vietnam, which was a $50 mod to 1942.  It was buggy from the start and they couldn't fix that game either.  Forget patches that fixed anything.  At least back in the day patches came with new maps, instead of having to buy them in booster pack form. 

I have the same feeling as some of you when it comes to the futuristic/sci fi stuff; seems like a lame addition to the battlefield series.  At least they will grace us with a demo, so we can see for ourselves how crappy it might turn out to be.

im going for Quake wars. bf2142 is being realsed to compete with quake wars. make the right choice, go with Quake wars.
