This is my first post on here and possibly my last. Up until now I had given EA/Dice the benefit of the doubt regarding the purchase of EF (utter dross - armour whores paradise, fuck know what AF will be like) and other patches thinking that they are doing ok and addressing most of the issues but this is unbelievable. To change thing which are ok and fuck about with things that don't need to be fucked with is just stupid. How about changing the artillery reload time? How about getting grapple hooks and zip lines into vanilla BF2? How about less armour - focus on squad play and not whoring of vehicles?
Come on EA/Dice, wake up and smell the shite - you are ruining this game (and just for the record, BF2142, what a pony idea....robots/lasers/spaceships = total horseshit)

From what people are saying the red/blue bug is still there? I really can't believe they have not fixed this after a damn year sigh.

Works just fine for me. Enjoyed it actually.
Installed, played, got awards, no problem....Seems good so far...We'll see in a few days, after everyone "learns" how to play with the patch's new "rules of combat".
I have been having a problem with droped connections. 3 out of the last 4 games i get droped out of the game, good old lost connection to the server.
yes the red tag thing has not been fixed as i just saw it on a server...dont think they ever will fix it tho
hell i saw a blue tag when it should have been red! crazy
the vehicle airdrop is crap, it is already used as an extended arty to kill snipers and stuff...
also ppl seem to use the airdropped cars to block spawning vehicles, also seen some ppl drop them on airfields so you can hardly take off...
still noticed the bug which makes me bomb away own cars/AA cause they show up as enemies
still noticed TOW/AT missiles flying through enemy vehicles
AA missiles still love to hit teammates
bottom line: 80megs for coop and prevention of squad hopping. expected a little more

I've downloaded and am having no issues.
It rebound all of my keys. Even keys that I couldn't re-bind without resetting everything, so I rebound my keys, went into a game, still couldn't use the mouse or esc key. So I had to re-rebind all of my keys. That and the fact that it crashed my game the 1st 3 times I started it up and then 2 more times after I bound my keys. It FINALLY is working. Good god, that was hell, because it takes about 10 minutes for me to log into my account. The fixes are nice, and I'm surprised at the lack of abuse of the vehicular drop in the servers I played on already today. Frankly, I'm just waiting on armored fury.
i think its becuase of teamspeak,i rarely talk on voip when in a squad becuase usually im to busy talking on teamspeak at the same time,thats my theory,otherwise people are just lazy or agitating.TheDarkRaven wrote:

I'll probably only go in a squad for communication now. The moving forward as a team is useless without communication (which is surprisingly low on VOIP servers - why play on VOIP servers when you refuse to talk?).
the new award system is fucking with my head. other than that, i was close to getting the purple heart due to TKs for AA and GD. that happened almost 4 times today
