After Reading a post on EA's Forum on Oct 4, 2005 8am It says they have just released the patch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the message EA has up right now, untill they are done updating the Web Site!!!

EAGames.com is temporarily unavailable.

They wouldn't take down the entire web site to put a link to the patch file.. their just doing what it says their doing.

Besides, the patch is definately not something I would ever allow myself to loose sleep over.

Btw, use the edit function next time.

If they are redesigning the BF2 home page, news, and downloads, thats more than enough work to close the site down for a while.

Not really, they don't need to take the site down to do that. There's something called servers, and it resides on a totaly different server, you just don't see it from the public end. When you update a site you test it localy then just simply put the files in place and the site is changed, again, they wouldn't take down the entire EA main web site to do that, and if infact the BF page changes, it's just a big coinicidence.

Incase you can't read, they are updating their equipment, possibly doing a routine matainence thing, it just happens to be in time with the patch release. God. The only thing that links everything togather is the domain names.

I'm 99% sure if it was primarily something to do with BF2 they'd have specifically stated so.

this maybe true, Or they could have been waiting this hole time to release it, If they where planning on updating the home page, why not and add the patch at the same time, the old saying, kill 2 birds with 1 stone theory applies....

You will notice a time of Oct 4 @ 8:26am post, Must be in Europe... Its only 5:45am where im at, so as soon as they are finished with there home page I will bet you will be able to Download the patch!!!

Sounds like a plan, I dont work till 5, so I need to recover after this disapointing day so far.........

Sleep sounds good, Im very suprised in the amount of people are on still and waiting with me on this one.....

Very nerve racking!!!! I cant stop thinking about Officer Ranks!!!! Will they be, or not to be, that tis the question! And if so what are the requirements, and will I be getting newer weapons earlier by a few instant promotion!!!!

Only time will answer this one.....

As far as EA HomePage it seems to be back up and running.....Nothing new still waiting....
