I apologize for no keep myself  in the topic..my bad.. anyway about that bf2142 i think that DiCE marketing and EA department are missing the picture here. Whats the most popular feature of bf2: KARKAND, Whats the most popular feature of BFSF: WARLORD, GHOST TOWN, whats the most popular feature of Euro Forces: GREAT WALL, i know these r not features (are maps) but anyway no helo or new vehicle or new weapon really makes that much improves to the game, as a real good map.   So why they dont focus on making BF2 a real oustanding game.. they r saying allready that they didnt have the time they r having now with BF2142... well thats makes BF2 like the ugly brother for dice..despite of its popularity.. 

i would like to see them focus more on nice infantry combats with lots of hiden places and complex maps like ghost town or great wall..  but its to soon to guess what would BF2142 its all about, anyway i think they r hungry for money... do you really think ea and dice needs more millions?? crap its only hungry for money cheap corporations. 

also whats going to hapend to bf2 i do think that this new crap its gonna week bf2 we are all now complaining but to be honest no one wanna  be "left" so many people r gonna drop bf2, to play bf2142

Futuristic war games suck IMO.

I love the modern day battlefield, the "realism" of bf2 (come on, compared to 2142, bf2 is more realistic). having the modern day ranking system (medals, ribbons, ranks) makes it much more fun.

I'd rather be a first sergent than an "intergalactic superior commando" or whatever stupid name they plan on using.

Who knows, they may even stick with the ranks of today (I hope they do)

I'll be sticking to bf2 until i've got solid proof that this game is worth buying and I hope a lot of people do too

The stand isn't just to support the weight, but to add stability to your targetting. If the projectile has mass, there will be a kickback of somekind. It's why Uzi's are such silly weapons; the gun fights to raise the barrel, if you try to empty the clip in one go... a lot of ceilings at gun ranges have been wrecked by Uzi and Ingram

They better have lasers, we have lasers now, and as I recall in 2000 that we had laser weapons for troops but the power was a problem.

Why can't the game be developed with Battlefield gameplay in mind but not have its name. BF has been about historical wars and with BF2 a war that isn't all that far fetched. Its not Battlefield if theres giant mechs roaming around killing people. Its Terminator/MechWarrior/Enemy Terrertory/ Aliens/ most every si-fi action game EXCEPT Battlefield.

personally im looking forward to BF2142, i've never played a mech game so it'll be new to me. i don't know why everyone is complaining about a new version of the game, it's not like it's BF3. like everyone's said, it's just like them bringing out BF:V. it will keep me happy until BF3 is out anyway. the only thing i think they should do is make it an expansion to BF2. i guess they want to charge full price for this one though...

I hope they'll actually put some god damn thought in the maps...unlike in Special Forces. The design in that game made it get boring really fast. But the design in original BF2 was great.

Also AT and Engineer class put together? If people think that the amount of people who use special forces in BF2, they'll go insane over the amount of AT-Engi or cloaking guys.

Wow anti-air, anti-tank, anti-infantry... anyone else see a problem with this? They better make some kick ass rocket launchers to take the mechs out.

Although I can see a shit load of problems in the game already I'll no doubt get a copy so I can scream at my comp some more.
