The problem is, a fake account for Steam has to have a retail game activated before you can start the Gift Pile event. I just tried to do it with my old, fake Steam account.AussieReaper wrote:

I guess if you feel like going through the trouble you can buy something from steam worth a dollar and be able to get into the competition with a new account.
