I GUESS is my own theory about what the senseless violence could possibly represent. i never said they thought about it... i explicitly said they hadn't. why are you finding this so difficult? and yeah, my family has a business i can work for if i choose to... better than being an unemployed graduate (one of many) on the dole, doing nothing with my life. it's a back-up plan and a security to keep me working... what's the problem? you don't have any contacts at all to ensure you some easy work if times are hard? i'm not using 'family connections', i'm completely making my own way and pursuing a degree/career path that no one else in my family has a clue about, and i'm doing very well at it and holding my own. so what's your problem again?

where am i suggesting that i know where they come from? i've said that journalists and the educated try to impose a narrative upon chaos. i said they have no unifying aim or goal. "i guessed" (hint: operative grammar here is the personal pronoun 'i') what it could possibly represent, if you want to do some big-picture contextual theorizing about the socio-economic forces at hand here. that's what all the journalists, academics and reporters are doing today in the media. are they all "trying to suggest they know where they come from"? no. it's just the typical 'find an explanation, seek the story' type behaviour that always happens after a major event. looting and riots are an act of mass mob hysteria, often no real motive or point, just a total social phenomenon unto itself, self-generating and self-regulating. experts will always stand 15 metres back behind the safety markers and try and suggest reasons and 'why's. it doesn't mean they're trying to "identify" and "be down with the kids on the street at all".
