I mean, i don't really care, but i guess if you want to be really strict as you so say, go for it.

I got halfway thorugh the first one and then i just couldnt take it anymore.
I never go in AU chats so i wasnt aware of this whole situation (menzo mentioned it once, but i never actually saw warman's posts)

You can't wrap people in cotton wool. A good aspect of this forum for the younger (stupider) members is they can post incorrect opinions anonymously and get their negative feedback and a few insults back without incident. Science forbid people spouted some of the stuff they do here in real life, oh the shame.

I used to be on here all day, every day. I had a lot of real life happen all at once (including changing jobs, and hours), plus the site was being remodeled at the time, and I just fell out of the habit.

I missed it. I came back a few months ago, and am on here every day, mainly in the EE section.

I find it harder than it used to be to really participate in discussions though. Everyone seems to be just waiting to say something nasty and jump down someone else's throat. Usually, just for the sake of trolling. After being gone so long, I figured everyone has their own little relationships and it was probably all good natured ribbing... But after a while, I realized, everyone is just REALLY PISSED OFF ALL THE DAMN TIME.

I don't really get it. It used to be a community that has a lot of FUN interaction between people. A lot of pats on the back, and agreements, and friendly debates from different points of view.

Now it has more of an attack-all-different-points-of-view feeling to it.

It is by no means bad, but I still miss the way it used to be.

Just my opinion after a long hiatus.

Meh I think there needs to be some distinction made. A lot of it is just harmless flaming, but sometimes it does cross a line, but no one really cares.
I mean, shifty gets the brunt of it, I dont think he really minds that much.

Lets make a vote thread on should flaming be allowed within bounds? I.e. as long as it doesnt go too far
