A guy showed me this video at work today, "singing bird pistols." No, they don't actually fire, however, the mechanism that runs the bird is in my opinion, amazing for even today's standards, nevermind the 1800's when they were built. Watch the video at least until they show the bird, it's really pretty amazing.
