Israel does not support a two state solution, they support a one state solution - IsraelFEOS wrote:

Looks like Palestinians have no right to live! Obama fully supports Israel!
Israel was created on Palestinian land! They also occupied a lot more land what they actually "got" from the UN in 1947.

Why all the hate? Why dont they stop all the agression? Israel should fall back from the occupied land!
Obama...like every US president since Carter (if not earlier) supports a two-state solution. As does the PA. As does Israel. As does most of the rest of the world (minus a few extremist holdouts). They just disagree as to whether this particular tactic is the best method to achieve that end goal. Fully supporting Israel on this is fully supporting a two-state solution...which is also supporting the PA's ultimate goal, as well.
Borders change based on geopolitical realities. That's why direct negotiations need to happen. Worked out really well the last time the UN just declared something over there, didn't it?

Every nation was the result of conquest at some point. Look at the history of England. At first it belonged to the Celts and Picts, then the Romans conquered them, then the Vikings, then the Normans. Since the Celts were there first, they have the right of primacy, no?
France was Celtic too, but was overrun by the Romans and then the Germanic Franks. Who knows where the Germans originated? 150 years ago, Germany didn't even exist. Should Bavaria go back to being an independent country? Hannover too? Should Holstein and the other half of Schleswig be returned to Denmark?
Point is, borders have never been static at any point in human history. History is largely the tale of migrations over time. What we have today are simply political borders without much meaning. Because of this, Israel has as much right as any other nation to exist. The fact that the Palestinians controlled the territory (nominally, since they were subject to the UK) before Israel's creation is irrelevant. Poland hadn't existed for sixty years before it was reconstituted after WWI. Greece goes back even further. So does the rest of the Baltic, including venom's Hungary.
Israel is an artificial construct? So is every other nation. Deal with it.
According to that page the kingdom only stood for 100 years.Cybargs wrote:

Let it fall because you can't come up with a reason why the comparison is invalid. Good one, Chief.Beduin wrote:

the comparison is invalid, but pretty creative.

The Israeli and Palestine people have been fighting forever. Why is it the place of the US to get involved. We have enough on our plate already without having to babysit these two greedly little countries. Work it out yourselves or kill each other off. Either way the US shouldn't give a damn.
