get that dog a collar
Thats genuine love, the dog almost has her eyes closed.
Wonder if the dog did the butt scoot across his shirt and left a little skidmark
Or if it sniffed another dogs ass before and had a good lick
Guess what I look like after this happened to me today.
My car is the maroon one.

Yes I did get t-boned. Was turning left and waited for teh yellow to turn. Most of the on coming cars stopped. She did not. End of story. I spun little over 180 degrees from my original orientation. I have a seat belt bruise and thats it. She walked away just fine too.
who was in the wrong?
I think she was. She did slow down when it turned yellow instead she continued forward while the other cars stopped. At one point I had thought she was stopping but I guess I was wrong. But, she will probably get a ticket for running a red light cause it was at the tail end of yellow and she tried to blast through.
Eh, no offense, but sounds like you are... Specifics vary state to state, but generally speaking, when turning left you have to yield, and this takes priority over someone else not stopping at a yellow light...Naturn wrote:

Her side of the story would probably sound like "I was coming up to the intersection and the light turned yellow. I didn't feel like I could get stopped in time, so I went on through, and this guy just turned right in front of me. There was nothing I could do."
But everyone is ok, so that is the biggest factor.
you're in the wrong naturn.
glad you're okay though. but seriously, if it's yellow they can go through.

Its a tricky one, bear in mind the road rules are not necessarily the same as in Aus. (Green = Go, Yellow = Go, Red = You're going to slowly)
Abroad yellow typically means you should stop if you possibly can, not go faster and try to squeak through before the red. If she could have stopped on the yellow she should have, but if Naturn saw her coming and still turned on yellow then probably its hard to prove its not his fault.
Pretty well every set of lights I go through someone goes through on red...

Got the police report today. We are both in the wrong. According to the officer I didn't yield and she "tried to beat the light". Honestly the other cars on the road had stopped for the yellow she did not. It was the tail end of the yellow getting ready to turn red. I've done this hundreds of times. I honest don't believe its my fault, but I guess the officer says otherwise.
not just the officer.Naturn wrote:

From what i've been reading and what I was told that its a tricky one. Simply because they don't know if the light was yellow or red when she crossed the line. But, laws are different here.AussieReaper wrote:

There was one witness who said "That she was speeding through the intersection.".
Also note that no one except me took any pictures and the officer incorrectly reported some things. He also didn't draw the intersection correctly. Although I don't know how much that effects things.
If the light is yellow you have to prepare to stop. That's what a yellow light is for people. Let alone when you see all the other cars around you stopping.
shouldnt your light have still been red if hers was yellow? I dont see how this could have even happened unless you went before your light was green or she went through when it was clearly red. If her light was still yellow when you turned out then you had to go like 20 feet in a split second to get hit.

This will probably end up as a "No Fault" for insurance.
You can turn at a red light sometimes.
not left

unless you're in australia.
but yeah, if the other persons light was yellow or green, naturns should have been red. and naturn pulled out while it was red. thinking the other car will stop for the yellow, doesn't negate the fact he went through a red light.

What i did was legal. I have to clear the intersection to completely the left turn. Thats why at some intersectioms they have signs post that say "left turn on arrow only". That means i have to yeild to traffic if the sign was not present, which in turn means i need ti clear the intersection. It is different i have other states thoguh. Here its fine.
