Thankfully, your goverment did not bow to pressure to censor criticism of Islam, but if the current trends in the Netherlands are any indication, it looks like this may become a serious issue for Denmark in the very near future. Muslims are the fastest growing minority in Denmark, and it looks like a significant portion of them do not view the freedom of speech in the same way that native Danish do.
So, I'm not saying you've already been hijacked, but you face the threat of it if you don't stand firm in supporting free speech.
I actually agree with some of the sentiment in the op. Now if you said "ask what you can do for your country", the majority of the population would cry out "slavery!".

Maybe I've gone off the logic of .50 cal Sniper's being legal pistols surely must be. Logic doesn't apply to a lot of laws however...
Pistols were banned years ago. No penalty on the UK for Holocaust denial either. Europe yes, but not the UK.
What you're telling me is that Denmark has a history of standing firm in supporting the right to freedom of expression, but that Denmark is being culturally hijacked in a manner which can only be prevented by standing firm in support of the right to freedom of expression.Turquoise wrote:
