Skied with a guy, was potentially an Olympics grade Slalom candidate. Couple of weeks before he was to try out, he lost an edge, missed the turn, and went flying off the course into a tree. 60mph, put himself into a coma for 2 weeks. That was ugly.
90mph, off a concrete and ice track into a metal pole, though... damn. That's beyond ugly. That's just Death with a ringside seat, munching popcorn, waiting for the show to start.

The text description of it was enough to get the idea.
Hang around the planet for a few decades, you'll likely get to see someone horribly mangled or killed in an accident, in a way that you're forced to be part of it. No sense in actually looking for that kind of shit.
