Meh, only problem I have with it is hate crime laws. There's a good amount of hazing in the military whether you are gay, straight, male or female and certain people seem to have unnecessary protection...

most my buddies I served with in the infantry wouldnt care. We had two guys in our company that everyone knew were gay but they were good soldiers...shit, they were killers.Catbox wrote:

I know beyond a reasonable doubt that the corpsman and 2 machine gunners in my company were gay. They did their job like everybody else.

True, but I kind of liken it to the pushback initially against the racial integration of the military. Truman made a bold move by integrating the military, and in the short run, there were certainly conflicts, but it was clearly the right thing to do in the long term.JohnG@lt wrote:
