Just to mess this up a little, but the usage of apostrophes in English is not a classic rule, ie:
Grocers
Grocers' and
Grocer's
I mean that it has been used and taught in English schools for many years but there is no clear definition of how and when an apostrophe should be used. Some people use an apostrophe as an abbreviation:
Don't = Do not
As mentioned: You're = You are
I have scruggled with the use of apostrophes for years, as it has never been define and I believe that it is slowly being phased out. It makes people lazy to be honest I mean if you can not be bothered to write "You Are" then cheat and write "You're".
To add an example of how else to write the above sentence:
