Installing games for the upcoming lan party at the end of the month. Old guys go oldschool once or twice a year

Say, I'm having problems with Moder Warfare (1) Star Wars mod. The mod is working, I get all the different characters und guns, but the damn Tatooine map won't work. Instructions say the usermaps folder should be in the root of the game. It is but it won't show in the game as an alternative D: What to do?! Help be Gooners Wan Kenobi.
