Is this a Democrat's wet dream or Republican's nail in the coffin?

Discuss.

Umm... what? They're really considering that ticket?

No way will Cheney be on the ticket, unless its his daughter.... and then it would probably be a democrats wet dream as there would be total infighting.....

Cheney and Palin wouldn't get along at all, they're vastly different not just in terms of politics but also in style.

"Is this a new 1% doctrine? youbetcha!"

Spoiler (highlight to read):

Referencing Cheney's 1% doctrine and Palin's use of "youbetcha", combined with the total percentage of the population that'd vote for such a combo (1%)

Cheney was largely the bush admin for those who haven't ticked it after 9 years.

I hope you're kidding. The GOP certainly has people that can hold their own under pressure (whether you agree with them or not). Palin is deer in headlights.

Surely out of the 40% of America which vote Republican they can get a ticket better then that.

I thought only like 50% of Americans actually bothered to vote?

Well if they don't vote they're not counted, are they?

My guess:

Palin will continue to test the waters as an independent.
IF by some miracle, she gets enough popular sentiment, then the GOP might invite her back into the fold.
But only if they see she's taking so many votes away from the GOP that they're forced into that position.

The GOP really does not want to come back to the center of the US political spectrum.
They're perfectly happy to stay out there in the Bush/Cheney right field.

It would take a clue-bat the size of Florida to get the GOP to wake up and notice that they're not going to win without a serious drift towards the center. No.. wait... we tried using a clue-bat the size of Florida, and it didn't work.

I would personally love to see an independent centrist party just completely destroy the Obama Left and Religious Right.
Palin sees that opening in the center of US politics, but she just isn't the one to make it work.

Palin is hanging around to make money. Anyone who thinks she is seriously going to make a presidential run is smoking rock.

Me too. Lets make it happen!
Seems like a no-brainer, take the middle of the bell curve and let the Reps and Dems die.

Palin would try and drag the GOP to the right.

She did. What people fail to realize is when she did that MANY GOP'ers crossed parties.

Ya know because you want lower taxes, states rights, a strong border, and are pro business =/= a snake charmer. This is why I hate political labels.
