So you can play MW2 online even if you've pirated it, and there are dedicated ranked servers up that have been modded with massive XP boosts, low gravity, and ridiculously overpowered guns
A+, Infinity Ward.

hur dur I'm a casual gamer and think it's totally wicked!
im not a casual gamer and i think it's fun as a casual game. that doesn't discriminate. i don't want to play in hyper-stressful tf2 matches all the time to prove my pc gaming 'credibility', thanks. it's fun. does finding this game fun make me noobish? meh, check my gaming history. > yours. im happily not influenced by your dumb bandwagons and puerile bias.

if you think CoD6 is more casual than TF2, you've got problems.
play in 6v6 euro div1/div2 and i'll regard you as if you know what the FUCK you're talking aboutAussieReaper wrote:

having angry italians shouting at you over ventrilo because they wanna get seeded for £2000 cash-prizes = STRESSFUL
miggle, fuck off. you have never played tf2 as anything more than a pub-nub game. your gaming elitism is NEVER substantiated. what have you ever actually played 'seriously'? you regard games with some ultra-elitist eye, but then you've never actually qualified as an elitist, have you? you've never played any of these games 'hard' enough to really break into their faults, or to really find their strengths and sweet-spots. you're just a bandwagon poseur with a facade of 'i hate this game like everyone else so im cool'. you're a fucking bore. whenever you post in this (sub)-forum it's as if you're permanently caricaturing yourself.

If you limit yourself to playing in competitions ALL THE TIME maybe you should try some pub games.
I'm sure you'll find them less stressful.
duh
Hmm, I've played BF2, BF2142, CoD2, and TF2 in leagues and I worked for Pwnage.tv broadcasting professional CSS, CS1.6 and L4D matches.Uzique wrote:

But I guess you're right, I've never taken games seriously. I guess I'll go back to not being as cool as you.

i cant play tf2 for pub because it's not a good public-game anymore, in my opinion. mw2 on the other hand fills that hole nicely because it's EXACTLY AND ONLY a mindless public-game. geddit? games like mw1 and tf2 are horrible when played in pub: spammy, full of random shit that just makes you rage, and largely played by retards. mw2's public is soo tailored towards the console audience that the casualness of it all makes it very easy and fairly enjoyable to play.AussieReaper wrote:

and by the way, my original post didn't even infer that i ONLY play tf2 matches "ALL THE TIME". i was specifically contrasting the playing experience to when i DO play tf2 matches. keyword: matches. i still play pub, just for the reasons mentioned before i don't find it as enjoyable as i do to relax and have a giggle at mw2. you'd understand if you pulled your finger out and got off the geek bandwagon.
@miggle: hahaha 'worked' for pwnage.tv. that shit you pulled for like, a month on xfire? ok. right. and playing a bunch of games on 'leagues' doesn't mean anything to me. bf2 and tf2 all have public-access ladders that require no skill or commitment to play on. come to me with some LAN experience, some titles and some prize-winnings/sponsorships and i'll consider you 'serious' enough to warrant all this fucking elitism you spout constantly. not even the top pro teams would feel at liberty to whine constantly like you do...
