I mean I understand that the 'chav' is basically a total ass hat and what not but, at least in my experience, there's usually a reason someone goes off like that and I don't see it here. And could someone explain what the whole group outside the fence and the guy who threateningly closed the gate was all about? Does this crap happen all the time in England?

Chav's will harass somebody just for giving them the wrong look or even if that person hasn't done anything to them. They always travel in groups as well because they're absolute pussies. Not very much. If one of them does get caught they slap an ASBO (Anti-Social Behaviour Order) on them and maybe give them a bit of community service. They'll do it again after though. I've seen a few vids of cops in cars driving past groups of them as well, because these days if you do anything you're likely to face backlash. Also the guy isn't closing the gate threateningly. He's doing it partly out of respect, partly because he was scared that the army guy would walk out and punch him lol
A chav is considered under 16 so the law protects them to the higest extent and of course, they are well aware of this. A chav could roll up to your house, kick your front gate in, throw bricks at your window and spit in your face but if you grabbed him and marched him down the Police station or you verbally abused him (given that you are classed as an adult) you'll be the one who gets prosecuted.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

That, in a nutshell, is modern day England.
The only solution for that is for the law to be changed to protect everyones rights no matter what age the defending party is and the offending party is. Of course, the situation is far more complex than that and i doubt i actually know how to rectify the problem of chavs but thats my thoughts on the situation.
