I forgot about a heat-sink for the cpu. I have an old one that seems pretty decent but idk if it will be compatible.

Do you need to defrag in Windows 7? I read somewhere no.
it does it automaticly, but it cant hurt to use a program. unless you have an ssd.

Just made the final order. Time to pre order BF3.
Here I was looking to get a Sandybridge for BF3. Now I hear that 2011 with a whole new socket is coming. I guess I'll stick with my 965 for BF3 until 2011 comes around.
no m8 , where do you have that from? afaik a bios update is required, and thahts about it.

I'm getting the 2500k. A friend recommended that I go with the more future proof one. He also suggested the 2GB 6870 instead of the 1GB. But, it will be good enough for BF3 and my budget is limited. I figure by the time I want to upgrade again some completely new shit will be out.
