I have it, and its rubbish.
Get NFS: Most Wanted
Doesn't look too bad, but not really the kind of racer I think I'd like. If I want to out run cops, why not just play GTA?AussieReaper wrote:

Because MW is the best in the series. Make a poll if you don't believe me. Everyone loves MW.OmniDeath wrote:

Yep, it's a fantastic game. Too bad that excuse of a game they called "undercover" doesn't even come close to replicating the fun I had with most wanted...AussieReaper wrote:

As for SHIFT, what's the point? I'd rather play GRID, or a proper sim, like Forza or GT. (But, considering how boring these games are, I'd rather shoot myself...)
Get Dirt.
Yeh. I dont understand the direction EA has taken NFS.
They had a unique-ish market -> street racing/cop chases etc. Yet they went back to trying too hard to be a realistic simulator game on race track with prostreet.
Most Wanted was fantastic. Carbon had some nice features, but made police chases irrelevant - one of the best parts of MW.
EA.

I think SHIFT is the best game in the series tbh, at least miles better than the recent games.
It's still a bit arcady, not not near as arcady as the rest of the series.
Of everything I've played, it's the best in its genre (arcade-ish racing games). Nice graphics and sound, pretty good car selection, nice feel of speed, and when you crank the difficulty to the max, it's great fun thrashing your car around the corners.
Decent career mode, though as they said at IGN, it's pretty much a check-list; not very dynamic. I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, because of umm...

Gonna go torrent it.
EA is ruining everything they touch so unless it's amazing I doubt I'll buy it sadly.

I'm hoping they release a demo of it on the PSN eventually. I hated GRID and DIRT/2. Too much douchebag indie music and excessive HDR/Bloom and cheap physics. Not my style. This game looks sort of similar, but at least a little more refined/realistic, but can't really say anything until I play it for myself.
Ah well, still have Gran Turismo. I just hope that Codemasters don't give the next F1 game the same douchebag treatment as they did to GRID and DIRT. But they will because that style is what sells in the US

Yer, the series went downhill ever since EA took over...edlT wrote:

My state was founded by Batman. Your opinion is invalid.
You never played Dead Space.edlT wrote:

This is much better than GRID. Not all that HDR shit you were talking about. Just good, clean graphics. I thought this review was pretty accurate:Mekstizzle wrote:

It's made by Criterion isnt it? That gives it some credibility as far as i'm concerned. I've not played it yet, but since it's made by the Burnout guys instead of the useless EA guys, i'd like to give it a shot.
That's not NFS: Shift yo.
That was my point, directed @ Spidery_Yoda.Jenspm wrote:

I liked Tier 1....now I got to Tier 2 and the difficulty jumped like crazy.
In Tier 1, I always got 1st semi-easily, now suddenly I'm struggling to get 7th place.
